In 2011, I graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts and majored in Social Work. I then went on to pursue my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Akron and graduated in 2013.

I became a Licensed Independent Social Worker in 2017 and am passionate about helping others navigate challenging issues in their lives while supporting them to be the best versions of themselves.

In 2014 I worked as a school-based therapist where I provided therapy to children experiencing trauma, behavioral issues, adversity, family conflict and peer relationship challenges. I created treatment plans to help identify coping skills and promote desired behavioral outcomes.

I have over 10 years of experience in the field of child welfare. During this time I worked with children involved in various systems including juvenile court, foster care, mental health services, Board of Developmental Disabilities and educational providers. I have experience working with children and families experiencing crisis, depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic violence, substance abuse and issues related to poverty. I assisted families process and problem solve challenges in their lives and supported them in achieving their goals.

In addition, I have provided therapy to adults working through various mental health disorders and assisted them develop coping skills. I have received clinical training in various interventions aimed at reducing symptoms and enhance overall functioning. I have been trained in somatic healing coaching where there is focus on how stress/emotions show up physically within the body. I have grown to better understand the mind/body connection and techniques to help balance the nervous system.
